Eclipse Shutters are offered in three louver sizes: 2 1/2 inch, 3 1/2 inch, and 4 1/2 inch. The 2 1/2 inch louver size is the most traditional size. Gaining in popularity are the larger 3 1/2 inch and 4 1/2 inch louvers as their size offers the traditional look but has a grand feel to them. The size of the window, size of the room, personal preference, and view to the outside are all determining factors in choosing louver size.

Bullnose Frame
A decorative frame that is used for inside mounts that has rounded edges and a modern style. Excellent for slightly out-of-square windows because the flange covers any imperfections. Our most popular style.

Z-Frame
A decorative frame that blends well with all types of trim.

Trim Frame
A decorative frame that can be used for inside mounts in openings with drywall returns and without trim.

Deluxe Trim Frame
The largest, most decorative frame that is used for inside mounts in openings with drywall returns and without trim.

S-Frame
A smaller decorative frame is also used to cover the existing trim. It is installed directly into the wall and is an outside mount only.

Plantation Shutter FAQ

Unfortunately, we do not offer plantation shutter solutions for doors. We recommend pairing Plantation Shutter windows with door-mounted color-matched Faux Wood Blinds.

While we make every effort to minimize light gaps in Plantation Shutters, they are by nature prone to light gaps around the edges, particularly the bottom sill, and between and around the louvers. No product offers one hundred percent (100%) blackout.
We may use methods such as caulk to help close light gaps around the frame of the Plantation Shutters.

Windows that have tilt-in panes that allow for cleaning may be inoperable due to the frame widths and allowances. While this is not always the case, it is a likely outcome of using Plantation Shutters.

Due to the risk of light-gaps and out-of-square windows, we do not offer a completely flush-mounted frame.
